UPDATE: Third Teen Riding Off-Road Vehicle Dies From Injuries
COLUMBIA, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky State Police say a third teen from Columbia has died from injuries following a crash involving an off-road vehicle and a pickup truck in Adair County.
Police said in a news release that 14-year-old Raquel Anyega died Wednesday morning at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was a passenger in an off-road vehicle driven by 15-year-old Macie Drake. Police say Drake failed to stop at an intersection and collided with the pickup truck.
Drake and another passenger, 15-year-old Abby Gail Curry, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup’s driver, 52-year-old Randell Gabehart of Knifley, was treated and released from a hospital.

Police say two teenage girls are dead after a crash last night between a pickup truck and a four-wheeler. Macie Drake and Abby Gail Curry were both 15 and from Columbia.
Police say Drake was driving the four-wheeler near the Casey County Line and didn’t stop at an intersection, riving instead right into where the pickup truck was heading.
Police say 52-year-old Randell Gabehart was driving the truck. He was taken to the hospital, treated, and released.
There was one other passenger on the four-wheeler, 14 year-old Raquel Anyesa.
Police say she fell off the four wheeler and was flown to UK Hospital where she is in critical condition.
