Two hospitalized after overnight house fire in Krypton
PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Two people were taken to the hospital following an overnight house fire Thursday in the Krypton community.
According to a post from the Avawam Fire Department and Rescue Squad, crews responded to a structure fire where both the home and a nearby garage were fully involved. Fire officials say the structure and garage were a total loss.
Officials say the two residents were taken to Hazard ARH for treatment after suffering smoke inhalation.
The American Red Cross has been notified to assist the residents, according to the fire department.
No word yet on what caused the fire. Fire officials say the incident remains under investigation.
