Two taken to hospital after reported stabbing in downtown Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A bizarre stabbing in downtown Lexington Wednesday put two people in the hospital.

According to police, 2 men and a woman got into a fight in a car near the intersection of Martin Luther King Blvd. and East 4th Street.  Investigators say the three got out of their car, and one of the men and the woman began chasing the third subject with a knife.  Officials say the man being chased received a stab wound in the buttocks. 

Police say the the man who injured the runner then dropped his knife, at which point the injured man grabbed it, and stabbed his former attacker in the chest.

The two men were taken to UK hospital, and the woman was held for questioning.
