Two suspects shot, killed during a home invasion in Clay County

MANCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Two men are dead following an alleged home invasion and shooting in Clay County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Investigators say the incident happened Saturday morning at a home in Manchester. Two armed men—identified as 44-year-old Roger Smith and 51-year-old Jeffrey Allen—allegedly forced their way into the home.

According to state police, a juvenile inside the residence acted in self-defense, grabbed a gun, and shot both intruders before escaping through a bedroom window.

Both suspects died from their injuries. State police have not released additional details about the case.
