Two shootings in the same neighborhood; Two people charged

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two people have been charged with a pair of recent shootings in Lexington.

Lexington police say 19 year old J’mari Taylor was arrested Friday.

The first shooting happened on Tuesday in the area of Laredo and Walden Drive.

According to police, witnesses saw multiple people in a car shoot at people walking down the street and a 17 year old was hit.

The other shooting happened on Wednesday in the same area and a 34 year old woman was shot.

Taylor is charged with assault, drug possession, possession of a stolen firearm, and other outstanding warrants.

A 17 year old boy was also charged with wanton endangerment.

Police say more people could be charged.
