Two shootings in Lexington minutes apart

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police are investigating two shootings that happened Sunday morning only minutes apart from one another.

The first one happened on Van Buren Drive around 6:15 Sunday morning.

Police say a home with no one living in it was shot at several times.

After a neighbor called police they found several different shell casings around the house.

Police currently have no suspect description but did say witnesses tell them they saw an older light colored Toyota Corolla leaving the scene.

The second shooting happened about ten minutes later on Kingtree Drive another house was shot at. Police aren’t sure if anyone was home at the time of the shooting.

According to police, the house was also shot at Saturday. That time people were home.

The home suffered damage to the living room window and the front door. No one was injured but police think someone might be targeting the house.

There’s no suspect description here but witnesses did tell police they also saw an older looking Toyota Corolla leaving this scene.

Police are looking into if these shootings are connected.
