Two sheriff’s offices relocating

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Two Kentucky sheriff’s offices are relocating this week, prompting temporary closures while they make the move.

In Scott County, Wednesday marks the final day of operations at the current sheriff’s office on North Hamilton Street. The office will be closed Thursday and Friday, reopening Monday at its new location off Betsy Way, near Great Crossing High School.

Meanwhile, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office in London is also closing Wednesday through Friday as they transition to a new facility on the 1300 block of KY 192 East. That office will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 4.

Despite the office closures, deputies in both counties will remain on patrol. Officials remind residents to call 911 for emergencies during the transition.
