Two sent to hospital after car hits bicycle

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Two people are in the hospital after a car hit a bicyclist Saturday night in Lexington.

Police say witnesses tell them a car was driving fast on Georgetown Street near Price Road around 9 p.m.

The car reportedly hit a bicyclist then rammed into a utility pole, splitting it. Police tell ABC 36 wires were supporting the pole in mid-air.

The driver and bicyclist have non-life threatening injuries.
