Two Lexington Businesses Robbed Minutes Apart

Lexington Police said a man wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans walked into the Family Dollar on East New Circle Road around 8:00 p.m. on Friday, demanded money and handed a note to an employee that said they could get hurt.

Investigators said the suspect didn’t get any money and ran out of the store.

Police said about seven minutes later, a man who matched the Family Dollar suspect description, did rob the King of Food Chinese Restaurant nearby off of North Broadway by Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Police said they were looking for a blue SUV or truck with the license plate 809 HLN.
