Two Injured When Stolen Car Hits Bus
Two people were injured by a driver who stole a car from a Lexington hone Sunday morning.
Police said the owner went out and started her car to warm it up at around 9 a.m. She realized she forgot her Bible in her home and when she came out, the car was gone.
Police said Qua’tez Brooks, 19, stole the car and ended up running into a Lextran bus at Pimlico Parkway.
Two people in the bus suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Police said Brooks ended up stuck in a yard near Octavian Circle and tried to run off but police caught him.
He was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center on charges including receiving stolen property and fleeing and evading.
