Two Homes Damaged By Fire In Lexington

The Lexington Fire Department said two trailers were damaged in a fire late Monday afternoon.

Investigators said the front portion of a trailer in a mobile home park on Parsley Drive was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.

Investigators said no one was home at the time.

Firefighters pulled a dog out of the burning home, but could not revive it.

The fire spread to a neighboring trailer that suffered some exterior damage, but the residents were allowed to remain in the home.

Everyone in the second trailer got out safely.

The trailer that initially caught fire suffered moderate to heavy damage, according to investigators.

The cause was under investigation.
