Two Fayette County school bus accidents in one day
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – For the second time in a day, a Fayette County school bus was involved in an accident.
The latest happened on the outer loop of New Circle Road just before 5 p.m Thursday.
According to Fayette County Public Schools, the bus was carrying four students when it was involved in a rear-end accident with a truck.
The students were from Bryan Station Middle School.
There were no injuries.
The district says parents were notified and another bus took the students home.
This comes after another Fayette County school bus was hit early Thursday. Police say a driver ran a stop sign and struck the bus, causing it to flip into a back yard.
No students were on board at the time.
The bus driver and bus monitor were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the car suffered serious injuries, according to police.
