Two die in Perry Co. crash
Hazard, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two men are dead after a crash in Perry County late Monday evening, according to Kentucky State Police.
KSP says troopers were conducting a traffic safety stop on Old Kentucky Highway 80, when they saw a vehicle stop abruptly, before reaching the checkpoint.
According to KSP, the vehicle turned around and sped away. Troopers drove in attempt to find the vehicle when they noticed it, overturned on the roadway.
Police say 58-year-old Johnny Gibson of Bulan, Ky. and 28-year-old Donovan Miller of Leburn, Ky. were ejected from the car.
The two were taken to hospitals where they were later pronounced dead.
KSP says no autopsies will be performed, and toxicology results on both subjects are pending.
The crash is still under investigation.
