Two die in a car crash in Marion County

MARION COUNTY,Ky. (WTVQ) – Two young people have died after a car crash.

Troopers say Friday night before 11:30, 18-year-old David Lawson from Lebanon lost control of his truck on East Lovers Lane.

He drove off the road and hit a tree.

The coroner pronounced Lawson dead at the scene.

A passenger, 21-year-old Shelby Goode from St. Francis was airlifted to U of L hospital where she later died.

A third passenger, 19-year-old Jeremiah Moore from Lebanon was taken to the hospital, but is expected to survive.

None of the people in the car were wearing a seat belt.
