Two charged after man jumps out of car and dies

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two people are facing charges after a man jumps out of a moving car and is hit and killed by another vehicle.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says 25-year-old Quincy Johnson was in a car with 21-year-old Alyssa Spellings and 32-year-old Kennith Markland Wednesday night, when the three got into a fight.

Deputies say Johnson jumped out of the car as it was traveling down US 60, slid into the opposite lane and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

They say Spellings was driving and did not stop.

She and Markland have been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to render aid.
