Two Charged in Scott County With Child Abuse

     The family of a 14 month-old girl found severely abused last week says the child  is still fighting for her life at UK Hospital.

     Last Friday State Police found Audrey Gail King bruised, cut and malnourished so badly the family says she’s unrecognizable.

     State Police say they found King with her mother Kimberly Riggs and Mathew Clifton along I-75 after receiving reports the two were in a fight at a gas station north of Georgetown.

     Police took them into custody.

    They’re charged with child abuse.

     Riggs and Clifton both pleaded not guilty Tuesday.
