Two Central Kentucky Women Helping Flood Victims In Colorado

Two central Kentucky women have witnessed the devastating flooding in Colorado first-hand.

Sherry Buresh and Rachel Sawyer with ‘All Hands Volunteers’ have been in the flood ravaged area since Friday.

They said the water was too high in many places for them to safely get to flood affected areas.

In the areas that were safe, the women helped flood victims remove debris from their homes and assisted in any way possible.

As of this writing, at least six people are believed to have died in the flooding.

Thousands of homes were damaged or destroyed.  Many roads are impassable, according to Colorado officials.

In Larimer County, Colorado alone, an estimated 1,000 people are stranded due to flooding.
