Officers find meth in trunk of car
PULASKI CO. Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Two brothers from Southern Kentucky are facing drug trafficking charges and are set to appear in court this morning.
The sheriff’s office says 37-year-old Frederick Ennis and 35-year-old Diontae Ennis were arrested Wednesday on I-75 after traveling to Fayette County.
The two were allegedly involved in a suspected drug transaction in Lexington. Deputies say the brothers were seen allegedly meeting near a vehicle in a parking lot before getting back on the road.
The sheriff’s office says a police helicopter followed the brothers to Pulaski County where state police pulled them over on the Interstate.
Investigators say they allegedly found two large bags of meth inside the trunk of their car.
The Ennis brothers are due in court this morning at nine.
