Two arrested in murder of Rockcastle Co. woman

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two people are arrested in connection to the murder of a Rockcastle County woman.

35-year-old Kimberly Slusher and 30-year-old Tabitha Howard are behind bars at the Rockcastle County Detention Center.

Both are charged with murder along with several other charges.

86-year-old Mary Hinton was found dead in her home on Red Hill Road at around 11 p-m. Tuesday.

Kentucky State Police say it appears she was killed during a home invasion.

An autopsy on Hinton is planned at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort to determine the cause of death.
