Two arrested after children found living in shed

BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office says two people are behind bar for keeping three young children in a shed.

Deputies say they went to a home on Lebanon Road Tuesday, responding to a report of child abuse and neglect.

They say they found 44-year-old Gregory Wilkerson, 25-year-old Brandi Harmon and three children under the age of 12 living in a shed behind the home.

Deputies say there was no running water or electricity and found a bucket containing human feces.

The sheriff says the children were taken to the hospital to be treated for extreme rashes and bed bug bites.

Wilkerson and Harmon were charged with three counts of criminal abuse. Wilkerson was also charged with possession of marijuana and a child support warrant out of Lincoln County.

All three children were taken into protective custody.
