Two arrested after police tech tracks stolen vehicle in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Two juveniles are in custody after police technology helped locate a stolen vehicle in Lexington on Tuesday afternoon.

According to officers, intelligence specialists were alerted to the presence of a stolen vehicle near West Third Street and Newtown Pike just after 3 p.m. Police say their technology led them to the vehicle in the 2000 block of Cambridge Drive.

The passenger ran from the vehicle before it sped off, but authorities continued to track it and later found it near Day Lily Drive and Mountain Laurel Way. Officers arrested both the driver and the passenger shortly after.

The driver, identified as 18-year-old Antonio Frye, is facing multiple charges, including fleeing or evading police. The passenger, 18-year-old Donald Quinn, is also facing several charges, including carrying a concealed weapon.

Both Frye and Quinn are being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
