Twenty people arrested during drug roundup in Laurel Co.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says they have made 20 arrests as part of “Operation March Madness,” a county-wide drug roundup.

The sheriff’s office says these arrests were part of a three-month investigation.

Those suspects arrested are:

1. 25-year-old Megan Lynn Hill, of Highway 233 Gray, KY charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
2. 50-year-old Barbara J. Masters,of South Highway 233, Gray, KY charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
3. 46-year-old Johnny Robert Eads, of Doctor Parker Ln., Gray, KY charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
4. 38-year-old Charles L. Hensley, of Cherry Ave., Corbin charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
5. 35-year-old Joshua Leslie Cox, of Skinner Rd., Woodbine, KY charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – methamphetamine.
6. 34-year-old Nancy Ann Salyer, of Highway 26, rock hold, KY charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine
7. 33-year-old Brandi Jo Miller, of Littontown Rd., East Bernstadt charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
8. 36-year-old Stephanie Allen, of North Mill St., London charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
9. 38-year-old Susan Brewer, of Horn Branch Rd., Woollum, KY charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
10. 54-year-old Lela Jean Snellings, of McKinley Lane, Keavy charged with disorderly conduct – second-degree; resisting arrest.
11. 43-year-old Elbert Lee McFadden, of Conley Road, London charged with Possession of A Controlled Substance 1^st Degree-1^st Offense-Meth –found with meth as deputies conducted the roundup of other suspects
12. 37-year-old Robert W. McWhorter, of Highway 1376, East Bernstadt charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine. In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence first offense and other violations.
13. 40-year-old Steven D. Messer, of Johnson Hollow, Gray, KY charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia.
14. 43-year-old Lee S. Saylor, of Old Way Rd., London charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; public intoxication – controlled substances; possession of drug paraphernalia
15. 38-year-old Travis Lamonz Cannon, of London charged with Trafficking in a controlled substance 1^st offense—heroin

Also arrested and charged on federal indictment warrants:

1. 54-year-old Johnny Craig Sasser, of Riverside Loop, Lily charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
2. 35-year-old George Griffey, of McKinley Lane, Keavy charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
3. James Woods charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
4. Peggy Hoskins charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
5. Ronnie Caldwell charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine

The sheriff’s office says arrests will be continuing.
