Truck filled with explosives catches fire in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Several roads in Lexington were closed down for a brief time on Thursday after a truck with explosives caught fire.
Firefighters were called to Vulcan Material quarry off Manchester Street around 2 p.m.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, the truck was located 600 feet underground in a mine.
Everyone made it out.
The mine was sealed off to let the fire burn itself out, according to fire officials.
