Truck carrying ammonium nitrate flips, spills load

LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities say a truck carrying ammonium nitrate flipped onto its side in Leslie County Tuesday morning.

The Leslie County Sheriff’s Office says the accident shut down US 421 – a major connecting road between Leslie and Harlan County.

The road remained closed most of the day.

There is no word on what caused the crash.
