Trooper saved woman from flood waters.
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – KSP released today, the story of Trooper Jarrod Smith, who received a call about a woman stranded in flood waters on July 3.
Trooper Smith went to Jarvis Hollow, and found her vehicle approximately 40 feet off the roadway, waters up to its headlights. Smith said the woman was yelling for help, but unable to exit her vehicle.
Clay County Deputy Sheriff Jeremy Garrison helped Trooper Smith, trying a rope around the trooper so he could wade out into the waters and safely retrieve the woman out of the car and off the highway.
Neither the trooper nor the woman was injured.
