Trooper Island holds Blue Light Ceremony honoring the fallen

BURKESVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police shared a tribute to fallen troopers and officers during a Blue Light Ceremony on Wednesday night.

According to KSP, Trooper Island is a summer camp developed as part of a long range program of public service to the youth of Kentucky.

Trooper Island shared an image of the ceremony in a post on social media that said in part, “The kids are always so respectful and seem genuinely moved by this ceremony.”

The ceremony takes place once a week during the summer camp.
