Trooper Hurt After Chase In Scott County
A trooper recovers after being hurt during a chase Saturday.
State police say just before one a.m., a trooper tried to pull over a white 2000 Chevrolet Tracker on Lexington Road, when the driver refused to stop. The trooper says that prompted a chase that lasted six miles — with speeds topping 90 miles an hour –ending when the suspect drove down a one-way street, stopped, and ran from the vehicle.
Police later arrested 35-year-old Frank Hampton of Louisville. He faces various charges. Trooper Ray Caudill ended up going to Georgetown Community Hospital. State police would not describe his injuries.
