Trick-or-treating and Halloween events happening across Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – It’s Halloween, and little ghosts, princesses, superheroes, and goblins are getting ready to hit the streets for trick-or-treating Friday night.

In Lexington, official trick-or-treat hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. City officials are reminding drivers to slow down and stay alert as children go door to door collecting candy.

Several community events are also planned for the evening. The UK Children’s Hospital will host reverse trick-or-treating for young patients around 2 p.m.

At 4:30 p.m., a free “Spooky and Sweet” children’s cooking class will be held at the Dunbar Community Center. Then at 6 p.m., the Kenwick Community Center on Owsley Avenue will host a Halloween festival with games and activities for families.
