Tree branches go through apartment roof
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Tree branches punctured the roof of a Lexington apartment complex.
Firefighters were called to the Augusta Arms Apartment on Augusta Court just after 11 p.m. Monday after a tree fell and landed on utility lines.
They say the branches from the tree went through the roof of an apartment.
No one was injured and no other apartments were damaged, according to firefighters.
Power was shut off to the damaged apartment and those living in the apartment had to stay elsewhere for the night.
Firefighters say no other occupants had to leave.
The apartment below the one hit by the tree was unoccupied.
That’s because there was a small fire in that apartment recently that caused smoke and water damage.
Code enforcement is expected to be out Tuesday morning to inspect the building.
