Travis Perry commits to Ole Miss
OXFORD, Ms. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Former Mr. Kentucky Basketball and Lyon County standout Travis Perry announced his commitment to SEC foe Ole Miss via social media on Sunday afternoon. Perry entered the NCAA transfer portal just ahead of the deadline on April 23rd.
The 6-foot-1 guard, who made history as the all-time leading scorer in Kentucky boys high school basketball history, was one-and-done after his freshman season at the University of Kentucky. During his lone year with the Wildcats, Perry averaged 2.7 points per game while playing just under 10 minutes per contest. He shot 31% from the field and 32% from beyond the arc.
Though Perry is headed to Oxford, fans at Rupp Arena have not seen the last f him. With Ole Miss hosting Kentucky this past season, the Rebels are expected to travel to Lexington in 2026, giving Perry a potential homecoming game in front of Big Blue Nation.
