Traveling Kentucky Vietnam Wall to visit Falmouth

FALMOUTH, Ky. (WTVQ) – Pendleton County Fiscal Court and American Legion Post 109 will host the Traveling Kentucky Vietnam Wall June 29 and 30.

The Wall will be located in the Courthouse Square in downtown Falmouth. It will be available for viewing from 8:00 a.m. Saturday to 8:00 p.m. Sunday.

There will be a ceremony on Saturday, June 29, at the Wall honoring veterans beginning at 11:00 a.m. The keynote speaker will be former Miss America and Veterans’ advocate Heather French Henry.  The speech will be followed by an Independence Day parade.

Veterans have been designated by parade organizers as Grand Marshals of the parade. This will be a celebration by honoring those who protect our freedom.

The Traveling Kentucky Vietnam Wall serves as a Memorial for all Kentucky Vietnam Veterans.

The Wall includes the names of Kentuckians who were Killed in Action, held as Prisoners of War, and those still Missing in Action on the soils of South Vietnam, North Vietnam Seaways and Theater of Operation.

It includes more than 1,105 Kentuckians who gave their lives for their country in the Vietnam War.
