Transylvania University Trustees Reaffirm President

The Board of Trustees at Transylvania University has unanimously reaffirmed its support of President R. Owen Williams.

The action came in response to a faculty vote last Friday of ‘no confidence’ in Williams.

A statement from the University says the Board of Regents also voted unanimously in support of Williams.

The Board did not respond to a faculty resolution asking it to overrule Williams’ decisions on whether two faculty members should receive tenure.
