Traffic Stop Leads To Meth Lab Bust In Boyle County

Deputies in Boyle County said a traffic stop resulted in arrests after the discovery of an active meth lab in the vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped just past Bonta Lane on U.S. 27 in Junction City, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies said two men were in the vehicle at the time and a meth lab was found under the front passenger seat by a K-9 officer.

Other meth related items were found in the vehicle as well, according to deputies.

Forty-year-old Christopher A. Lunsford and 23-year-old Benjamin S. Mosher, both of Nicholasville were arrested at the scene after a hazardous materials unit decontaminated them.

They’re both charged with possession of meth, unlawful possession of meth precursors, drug paraphernalia and manufacturing meth.

They’re being held at the Boyle County Detention Center.
