Traffic stop leads to drug bust in Montgomery County

MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – A traffic stop in Mount Sterling Friday night landed an Owingsville man in jail on drug charges, according to State Police.

Investigators say State Police, Mount Sterling Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office pulled over 44-year old Robert May on North Maysville Road around 7:30 p.m.

KSP says a Trooper found numerous prescription medications in the vehicle with an estimated street value of $15,000.

May was lodged in the Montgomery County Regional Jail on trafficking charges, according to State Police.
