Traffic Impact: Fourth Street to be closed at railroad crossing next week

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – There will be a complete road closure of the railroad crossing on Fourth Street between Henry Street and Newtown Pike in Lexington between 9 a.m. Monday, April 17, and 3 p.m. Friday, April 21.

The closure is necessary to redo the railway road crossing.

This is the last of a series of planned railroad crossing rebuilds.

Detour signage will be in place diverting traffic to Jefferson, Second, Third and Newtown Pike.

Walton Avenue Update:
The railroad crossing at Walton Avenue, which is currently being rebuilt, is scheduled to reopen by 3 p.m. this Friday, April 14.
