Traffic Alert: Work to begin on Malabu Drive bridge
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Drivers who travel on Malabu Drive in Lexington may need to consider taking an alternate route.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says rehabilitation operations will begin on the bridge Tuesday, May 7.
The bridge will be closed for a period of time on Malabu Drive at milepoint 1.656 to allow for the work.
The project includes bridge replacement, along with drainage and pavement improvements.
The bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. until 9 a.m. Monday until the project is complete.
It is expected to be done by August 5, 2019.
A detour is in place. Drivers can get to Malabu Drive from Tates Creek Road by using Lansdowne Drive.
