Traffic Alert: Wilkinson Boulevard closed in Frankfort after deadly crash

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Wilkinson Boulevard in Frankfort was closed Friday night following a crash that left two people dead, according to investigators. The state says Wilkinson Boulevard could be closed until the early morning hours of Saturday while an accident reconstruction crew investigates.

Investigators say it appears a car crossed the median and collided with another car headed in the opposite direction around 8:30 p.m.

The two people in the car that crossed the median were pronounced dead at the scene, according to investigators.

Two people in the other car were injured, according to police.

No names were released.

Detours are in place around the accident scene.
