TRAFFIC ALERT: Multiple lane closures starting this week in Fayette Co.
FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Multiple lane closures are starting this week in Fayette County. Drive safe!
From Monday, August 13 through Friday, August 17, median work will be happening on New Circle Road.
From 7 p.m. each evening until 6 a.m. each morning, the left lane of New Circle Road will be closed between Newtown Pike and Boardwalk.
Lanes will also be closed on SB I-75 for electrical work to be performed for the upcoming resurfacing project.
Lanes will be closed Monday, August 13 through Thursday August 16 between milepoints 111.95 and 121.12 (the Scott County line).
Traffic will be reduced to one lane from 9 p.m. each evening until 6 a.m. each morning.
Road work continues for the bridge on Nicholasville Road over New Circle Road.
From Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 16, the left lane of the Nicholasville Road bridge over New Circle will be closed between Canary Road and Wilhite Drive. This will be inbound and outbound.
On New Circle Road, the inner most left turn lane from the inner loop to Nicholasville will be closed. Traffic on the inner loop of New Circle will be diverted over New Circle via the on and off ramps for Nicholasville Road.
Both the Nicholasville Road and New Circle Road lane closure will be from 10 p.m. each evening until 5 a.m. each morning. Lexington Police will be assisting with the closures and traffic flow.
The Clays Ferry Bridge will be closed northbound on Tuesday, August 14 from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. KYTC says the closure is necessary for routine bridge deck repair.
The Clays Ferry Bridge closure will be closed at milepoint 97.7. Two lanes will remain open.
All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
