TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane closures set for US 421 in Clay County

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will begin construction on U.S. 421 in Clay County on Monday April 22nd and is advising drivers of possible lane closures.

The intermittent lane closures are necessary due to concrete bridge I-beams being placed for the new bridge construction on the Memorial Drive project in Manchester.

The lane closures will be required on U.S. 421 at the intersection of U.S. 421 and KY 3472 in order to get the beams positioned onto the existing bridge.

KY 3472 will be reduced to one lane while the bridge beams are being placed. Seven concrete I-beams will be placed.

As always, the date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
