TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane Closure Thursday On I-64 In Fayette County

The closure is necessary for test deck installations of Polymer Concrete Overlay/High Friction Surfacing materials by the National Transportation Product Evaluation Program. 

Information gathered from the test decks will be used throughout the country by states to assist with performance-based selection of the products that suit the needs of a particular state.

The NTPEP program was started in order to encourage states to share information about products commonly used across the nation. 

This eliminates the need for each state to perform the same tests.  Thereby, assisting each state to better utilize limited resources.

Work schedules and locations:

Thursday, Oct. 23

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• the right/slow lane will be closed on Interstate 64 eastbound at MP 62

Friday, Oct. 24

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• the right/slow lane will be closed on Interstate 64 eastbound at MP 74
