TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane closure scheduled for New Circle Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced lane closures on New Circle Road as  part of the widening and reconstruction project.

The left/fast lane of the inner loop will be closed:

• Monday, April 18 through Tuesday, April 19 – 7:00 p.m. Monday until 7:00 a.m. Tuesday
• Tuesday, April 19 through Wednesday, April 20 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday
• Wednesday, April 20 through Thursday, April 21 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday until 7:00 a.m. Thursday
• Thursday, April 21 through Friday, April 22 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday until 7:00 a.m. Friday

The closure is necessary for construction to begin on the median barrier wall.

A reduced speed limit of 45 MPH is in effect at all times.

All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
