TRAFFIC ALERT: Complete closure at Walton Ave. & Winchester begins Monday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A release from the Department of Environmental Quality and Public Works advises motorists that the Walton Avenue railroad crossing near Winchester Road will be completely closed beginning Monday, April 10th, and lasting throughout the week.

According to the release, crews will be redoing the entire railroad crossing.

Traffic will be diverted onto Midland Avenue and then onto East Main Street.  Detour signs will be in place during the closure.

The railroad crossing will close at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, and is scheduled to re-open at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14th.
