Tracking weekend offered at Carter Caves State Resort Park

OLIVE HILL, Ky. (AP) — A weekend at Carter Caves State Resort Park in northeastern Kentucky offers to teach some of the skills needed for everyday life in the 18th century.

The Kentucky Parks Department says the Tracking and Woods Lore Weekend gives guests a chance to enjoy nature, tracking, culture and history in indoor and outdoor settings.

Participants can learn how to identify animal signs in the forest through workshops and field trips.

Admission is $25 for 16-year-olds and older, $15 for younger. The event is March 6 through 8.

Registration is required. Call the park at (800) 325-0059 for more information or to make reservations.
