Toys “R” Us returns with over 30 new U.S. stores

(ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Toys “R” Us is making a comeback ahead of the holiday season, announcing plans to open more than 30 new stores across the United States.

Eight of the locations will be permanent flagship stores, while more than 20 will operate as temporary seasonal shops. The retailer closed over 700 stores after filing for bankruptcy in 2017 and 2018 but reopened a flagship store at Minnesota’s Mall of America in 2023, which remains open.
