Toys to be Collected at Louisville-Eastern Kentucky Game
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – The athletics department at the University of Louisville is asking Cardinal fans participate in a toy drive this month to help young hospital patients.
A statement from the university says new toys will be collected when Louisville plays Eastern Kentucky Dec. 17. The toys can be for boys and girls of any age and will be donated to Kosair Children’s Hospital. Crews will collect the toys as fans enter the KFC Yum Center to watch the game.
The collection is associated with University of Louisville Athletics’ CardsCARE program and Kyle’s Korner for Kids, a community outreach program started by former Louisville forward Kyle Kuric in 2011.
The statement says Cardinal fans have donated about 2,000 toys each year at previous toy drives.
