Toyota, Lexus, Subaru Recall 90K Vehicles for HVAC Defrost Issue

LEXINGTON, KY (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Thousands of vehicles have been recalled due to heating and cooling system problems.

More than 90,000 Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru models are affected by the recall, which involves faulty HVAC systems. The impacted vehicles include 2023 to 2025 Toyota bZ4X, Lexus RZ, and Subaru Solterra models.

Officials say the HVAC systems can fail, causing the defrost or defogger to malfunction.

Owners can take their vehicles to a dealership for a free software update.
