Toyota funds STEM-focused curriculum in 11 Kentucky schools
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ)- 11 K-12 schools in Central Kentucky are given $150,000 in grant money to further propel STEM.
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math, and with the grant money, schools will be able to continue educating students to prepare for careers related to STEM.
The grants are funded by the Toyota USA Foundation in partnership with Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and will provide curriculum focused on computer science, engineering, and biometric science.
The grants also help to create engaging and hands on classroom experiences that promote higher learning.
PLTW received a $2 million grant last year from the Toyota USA Foundation, which went to 115 K-12 schools throughout the U.S.

Southside Elementary School (Harrison Co.)
Westside Elementary School (Harrison Co.)
Eastside Elementary School (Harrison Co.)
Harrison Co. Middle School (Harrison Co.)
Robert D. Campbell Middle School (Clark Co.)
Ashland Elementary (Fayette Co.)
Oldham Co. Middle School (Oldham Co.)
Northside Elementary (Woodford Co.)
Beechwood Elementary School (Beechwood Independent)
