Fund receives $500,000 donation for Town Branch Park

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Town Branch Fund announced a $500,000 donation from the William Stamps Farish Fund for Town Branch Park.

According to the Town Branch Fund, the donation will go towards the trail heads that connect 22-miles of biking/walking trails leading from downtown Lexington to rural landscape.

William Stamps Farish is the owner of Lane’s End Farm in Versailles, Ky.

More than $9 million has been raised for the park project.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers currently is conducting studies on the creek and future park site. And, with the Lexington Convention Center expansion now under way, Town Branch Fund will soon re-engage with design and programming consultants to finalize park plans.
