Towles, Cats Nearly Topple Miss. State

Kentucky went two full seasons without an SEC win. But in Mark Stoops’ second season as head coach, the Cats were just two minutes away from taking down the No.1 ranked team in the country.

Patrick Towles put on a show before a national showing. Towles turning in his best performance as a collegian.

He led the team in rushing with 76 rushing yards, threw for 390 more and had a hand in all four Kentucky touchdowns.

Alex Risen was at Commonwealth Stadium for the one that got away from Kentucky.
