Tonie Morgan commits to Kentucky WBB

ATLANTA, Ga. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kenny Brooks has his guard.

The cats secured a big addition to their roster with the commitment of Tonie Morgan on Tuesday afternoon.

The 5’9 transfer from Georgia Tech will significantly bolster Kentucky’s backcourt.

In the 2024-25 season, she earned All-ACC Second Team honors and was named to the ACC All-Tournament Second Team, showcasing her impact on both ends of the court.

Morgan’s versatility was evident as she led the Yellow Jackets in scoring (15.6 points per game), rebounding (6.8 rebounds per game), assists (5.2 assists per game), and steals (1.7 steals per game). Notably, she achieved a triple-double against Clemson on Jan. 19, recording 12 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists. Additionally, later in the year, she dropped a career-high 31 points in a tight matchup against Stanford.

Morgan joins Josie Gilvin (WKU) and Asia Boone (Liberty) as Brooks’ three portal commits so far.
